PaperCheck is designed for sensitive academic documents, so it is important to understand how data is handled and where your own responsibility remains.
Privacy Principles
- During upload, you can decide how long extracted data and feedback should remain available.
- Personal information is encrypted at rest using AES-256.
- Uploaded data is not used for model training.
- An analysis stays private until you release it yourself with a share link. From then on anyone holding that URL can read the sections you picked, without an account and without being invited, so treat the link like the document itself. You choose what it shows, and switching it off closes every copy of the link at once.
Responsibility and Trust Boundaries
- PaperCheck helps with revision, but it does not replace your final academic judgment.
- Feedback can still be wrong and should be reviewed critically.
- For binding institutional requirements, pair the product with Custom Checks or official university guidelines.
