The journey begins when you upload your document. At this critical decision point, you must accurately configure the analysis parameters to get the best results.

• Document Type: Are you uploading a bachelor thesis, master thesis, essay, or something else? This tells PaperCheck how strictly to assess certain aspects of the paper.
• Language: Ensure the selected language or spelling variant matches your document, for example US English or Swiss Standard German.
• Custom Requirements: You can select specific, personalized rules or university guidelines that PaperCheck should enforce during the check.

2. Credit Usage & Unlocking

Once the initial upload is complete, a basic analysis is generated. Depending on your current plan or voucher, you will face a decision point:

• Free Summary: You can view the high-level Analysis Overview for free.
• Unlock Full Analysis: To access the detailed Page Feedback, the structured Todo List, and the Defense Preparation studio, you'll need to use a Credit or a Voucher to "unlock" the paper.

3. Analysis Overview

This is your dashboard for the document. Here, you get a high-level summary of your paper's strengths and weaknesses, giving you an immediate sense of the academic quality and the amount of revision needed.

4. Granular Corrections (Page Feedback)

If you've unlocked the full analysis, the Page Feedback view is where the detailed work happens.

• PaperCheck provides sentence-by-sentence corrections and style suggestions directly alongside your document pages.
• Decision Point: For each suggestion, you decide whether to accept the revision or reject it, ensuring you maintain full control over your final text.

5. Actionable Revisions (Todo List)

For structural, argumentative, or broader formatting issues, the AI generates a categorized Todo List.

• Instead of just pointing out mistakes, the Todo list breaks down complex revisions into manageable, actionable steps.
• You can mark items as complete as you work through them in your original word processor.

6. Defense Preparation

The final stage of the PaperCheck journey is preparing for your presentation.

• The Defense Studio generates potential questions your examiners might ask based on the specific content and weaknesses of your paper.
• You can practice answering these questions using either text input or our real-time voice feature, receiving immediate feedback on your responses to build confidence.
